Mega Jubilee Xavier Fair

The fields were painted white with a plethora of white stalls welcoming the visitors with their warmth of scintillating decorations and themes such as the Halloween, Batman, etc. It was time for the Jaipurites to witness the bewitching Mega Xavier Fair on 20th December on the wide fields of Xavier’s Jaipur as grand as its milestone of having completed 75 years of inception in Jaipur. When all the class and private stalls were set and ready to welcome the guests, the fair was inaugurated by Mr. J.P. Singhal, the revered Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University at 1 PM. After the inauguration the fair gained momentum eventually evident from the Columbus and Giant Wheel rides picking up momentum and the riders symbolising the thrill through their hoots and howls.

The event was conceived with undue aid through the patronage of sponsors and 95 FM Tadka which compelled the youth of Jaipur to tap their feet to the hit musical notes. There was one stall from each class of Std. 1 to 11 as well as many others of private entrepreneurs and business enthusiasts. The visitors acknowledged an unprecedented aura of the Jubilee Year mega Fair in terms of its gaiety and splendour. The doors of the fair were left open for the Jaipurites at a nominal entry fee. The fair winded up by 8:30 PM with a lot of cherishing memories for the passing put batch as well as the fun-seekers who visited and the students who laid their efforts without whom the event could not have been possible. The success of the event is owed to the Xavier Fair Committee headed by Mr. Alex Thomas.

The Xavier Fair is an event which is attributed to collecting money from social entertainment for social upliftment via the instrument of education. All the profits made and the funds gathered are well judiciously used by the School Management for funding the education of the poor which have always been an integral part of the Xavier Family from long before the RTE came into existence. The Balwadi Programme is also funded by the school which prepares the financially weak students to compete with the stalwarts studying in the school and makes their dream of a good schooling come true. “Xavierites selflessly bring happiness in the lives of others, just like a candle burns to lighten the path of others”
