Director’s Message

Fr. Rakesh Toppo

In the present time, developed Countries like U.S.A., Australia, France, England, Germany, Italy, and other European countries have gone far ahead in the field of Science and technology progressing and challenging us to come up and compete with them. We also have made great and remarkable progress in the fields of science and technology and have competed with them. Yet, we are struggling to overcome poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, domestic violence, corruption, child infanticide, inequality, child labor, dowry and many more social, political and economical problems. We are surrounded with such evils and they are hindering us each individual Indian to live a dignified life. Yes, we have broken the shackles of social, economical and political evils to some extent but not fully hundred per cent. To come up as a developed nation we need to admit our drawbacks and loopholes and work on them. Practically, it is a long process but we need to learn from Japan and accept as a role model. In 2nd world war Japan was completely devastated and ruined. Nevertheless, they joined together and till today they work for the country, live for the country not eight hours but more than eight hours for the betterment of the Nation and for the future generation.

Vocational Institute is a social outreach project by Jesuits Fathers of St. Xavier’s School and College, Jaipur. It enterprise and generates basic skills and polishes the talents many dropouts and unemployed boys and girls have. Many boys and girls are in need of works and self-employments. X.V.I. trains them in the field of TAILORING, FASHION DESIGNING, BEAUTICIAN, COMPUTER APPLICATIONS, HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE, TALLY, ELECTRICAL, COMPUTER ACCOUNTING, SPOKEN ENGLISH, etc for 16 to 35yrs age group rendering skills and nurturing their talents so they can come up in their lives. They may not feel that they do not have degrees and they are left out in the society. X.V.I. provides opportunity to make profit from the skills and talents trained here, and live a dignified life earning in the IT sector, govt. job and elsewhere.
(one’s life better and lives of others using own talents and skills)
